Yesterday was so jam-packed with goodness that I’m going to bullet point my day…
- Had a lovely morning with the kids then got ready for C’s birthday party at 2 pm
- Needed to stop at the store for a present and was sooooo worried about having both kids with me in that environment, without help. However… Max fell asleep and slept the entire time I was shopping!
- When Max woke up he was not happy that I didn’t buy him a dinosaur but instead bought him a Tiger. However, I was able to convince him that this Tiger is the Tiger Spirit on the “Jungle Fury,” Power Rangers.
- The birthday party was fun for both Max and I. Max is such a social person, just like his mommy.
- I think I may be joining a women’s book club
- Dropped the sugar-filled Max off at MIL’s after the birthday party.
- Bella and I picked up, Liz, and headed out to a raw food’s restaurant to meet four other friends. Thank you friend’s for supporting my crazy limited diet. You are all troupers.
- Enjoyed some food (that could have been served in MUCH larger portions) then went to Whole Foods for coffee (and for me, dessert… Rice Dream, my queen).
- Bella was a total doll the ENTIRE TIME.
- Enjoyed time at Whole Foods, ran into three other mutual friends, and finally met Hal’s new co-worker who also knows a couple of my friends (such a lovely small world) – I gave her a few pointers on how to handle Hal. Oh, I’m sure he’s happy about that! LOL!
- We got kicked off of WF’s outdoor tables so moved over to Starbucks.
- Bella was still a wonderful party-girl companion. She won over all my friends.
- Let me just say, I am so lucky to still really enjoy the company of my friend’s who don’t have children – and they are all very loving towards my kids.
- While at SB, we were joined by one more fella who was also cool towards my baby girl… and in general. I should also mention that he was easy on the eyes.
- The woman who seemed to be in charge at SB, approached me when I was leaving to compliment me for breastfeeding in public. She said her ex (and thank the stars for that) was very controlling and wouldn’t allow her to nurse in public. It was so big hearted of her to take the time to share this with me. It was the best ending to my day. I thanked her as I was starting to tear-up, and gave her a big solidarity hug. This happened in front of all my friends. It really meant a lot to me that they were a part of such a beautiful mothering moment.
- When I got home, I called Liz to thank her for being like a partner to me. She really helped me to manage Bella, holding her, my stuff, helping with the stroller, like a partner would. I didn’t have to ask or direct or anything… she just saw what I needed and pitched in. I’m starting to cry with love in my heart just writing this out. I AM SO LUCKY.
- Hal and I (and probably Bella) have a date with B, next weekend to watch Juno at our house!
- Max, Bella, and I have a date with N, on Tuesday, to make books!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend filled with love and friendship.

Sounds so wonderful. You seem so blissed out, yay!
As for NIP, I hope you and all Mamas (my Mumsie, too) know how important and helpful it is.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
