Wow. I have a lot going on right now. I’m working on three different personal writing projects and contemplating contributing to a friend’s writing endeavors. I consider this exciting and fun. Me, the glow of the computer screen, blocking out my kid’s constant chatter for chunks of time. Nice.
Mothering Two, is one of these projects (yes, I’m committed to this blog) and I also started another blog which I’ll share with you tomorrow. It’s a safe space for me to record my financial life. Yep, I’m recording everything I spend and exploring all the emotions and thoughts money evokes. Not fun, but feeling necessary. I want to demystify my experience with money, or lack thereof. More on that later…
I’m also working on a zine and toying with the idea of contributing to a couple others.
It feels great to be able to write this much. A lap top is seriously the best gift I’ve ever gotten. Thank you, Hal!
MIL update…
Max has been spending more time with my MIL. She is on what I refer to as “good behavior,” as of late. My kindness and personality towards her is consistent but her’s towards Hal and I is volatile. My (Our) position has always been to take the kindness when it is offered and not worry about the next outburst.
I’m thinking her goodness will last at least until after her sister leaves town. MIL is so cute right now. Her excitement about her sister’s upcoming visit in July, is keeping her on an obvious natural high. Hal and I plan on seeing a couple of movies during this high and buying a car. Life is so much easier when you have family support. Take it when ya’ can get it, I say.
